Many New fabrics have been added to the produt line that are elastic. Such as EL100 and P70. These offer new and exciting possibilities for garments and sensor applications.

Shieldex-U.S. is a manufacturer and developer of plated textiles and yarns of the highest quality. It is a solely owned USA company with operations in Palmyra, NY and Beijing, China. Shieldex-U.S. is one of the few U.S. companies exporting throughout the world its products of electrically conductive fibers and fabrics. The company is a woman's owned company, listed on CCR and many of its products are sold on the GSA listing. Since 1997 the company has operated as the sole sales arm of Statex products in the Americas and sells in 72 countries throughout the world. Many of our products are used in EMI gaskets, conductive tapes, shielding cable wrap, curtains, RF shielded tents, shielded pouches, grounding planes, resistance heating, antimicrobial wound care, and antiscent garments.
The product line is very diverse and has the single largest variety of plated textiles and yarns in the world from a single source. Such products as Tin plated copper and silver incorporated into a single textile cannot be found anywhere else in the industry. The product line also includes sewing threads of many different weights that can be purchased in packages that can easily be used in cut and sew operations.
We offer secondary conversion of our produts in many forms, such as; slit width to customer size and custom manufacture into small quantities of prototype product.

Manufacturing Process 
The Statex manufacturing process is based on a complete, solid and durable 99% pure silver bonded to polyamide.
Polyamide is used because of its mechanical properties.
Silver is the base metalizing material, it has many excellent characteristics; high electrical conductivity, static dissipating, high thermal conductivity, IR reflectivity and scattering effect, radar reflecting characteristics, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, as well as, odor inhibiting characteristics.
Silver is also soft and extremely ductile; it never cracks.
Statex yarns, fibers and fabrics use Silver as their base plating, others, including Copper, Tin and Nickel, can be added based on the end use application.
