Yarns and Fillers

Thanks to their anti-static and anti-bacterial qualities and their high electrical and thermal conductivity, SHIELDEX® Yarns are very versatile. As silver-coated nylon yarns they can, like uncoated yarns, be twisted, worked, knitted, stitched, woven and spun. They are used among others as electricity carriers for sensors, for the manufacture of clothing and home textiles as well as for Smart Textiles.

SHIELDEX® materials can be used in applications as varied as the packaging of components to passive static eliminators. Flexible, compliant, conductive yarns, foils and fabrics made of aluminum, silver, and tin/copper can be supplied as a raw material or fabricated into the finished component.
